Barn Door Biparting Privacy Latch

The biparting privacy latch is designed specifically for biparting barn door setups — two doors that slide from opposite sides to meet in the middle. A standard single-door latch has nowhere useful to mount in this configuration; the biparting latch solves this by hooking the two doors directly to each other. One component mounts to the face of the left door, the other to the face of the right door. Close the doors and the hook catches the opposite catch plate, holding both doors in the closed position.

No mortising required — both pieces surface-mount with screws. Installation is straightforward: close the doors fully, hold both components in position while latched, and drive the screws while the latch is engaged to ensure the alignment is perfect.
