Like all top mount styles, the hanger arm sits on top of the door edge and is visible above the door, but from straight-on there's no hardware visible on the door face itself.

The visual differences between the three are subtle — they come down to specific proportions and corner treatment of the hanger arm rather than a dramatically different silhouette.
