That material difference serves two distinct purposes: it makes the hardware genuinely suitable for outdoor, coastal, and high-humidity environments where powder coat will eventually corrode, and it produces a refined, premium finish for interior installs where the hardware finish itself is part of the design. You only need one of those reasons to be true.
