The heavy duty J-strap is the same curved front-face hanger as the standard J-strap — same 3/16 in steel, same Delrin wheel option, same Goldberg Brothers manufacturing — scaled up for heavier doors. The track is 2 in wide instead of 1-1/2 in, and the hardware is proportionally wider to match. That wider profile is what allows this kit to handle doors up to 400 lbs.

Three reasons you might be here instead of the standard J-strap: your door weighs more than 200 lbs, your door is thicker than 1-3/4 in (this kit handles up to 2-1/4 in), or you need a finish outside the four available in the standard duty line.
